The business of making our bodies’ look and feel good has never been healthier. The hair care industry alone rings up over $55 billion a year in the U.S. And while the massage industry isn't that big yet, the field has exploded over the last few years, rising to $6 billion annually so far. According to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), getting a massage has become a mainstream practice - consumers last year visited licensed massage practitioners 114 million times.
Until recently, getting a massage was considered a luxury. But, times have changed. It's a huge industry today, the annual surveys conducted by the American Massage Therapy Association. "The latest survey found that 2 million more people received a massage this year than the year before. Now consider that less than 20% of the population have ever received a massage. That means about 80% of the market are still massage virgins.
There are so many more benefits of massage and if you've never had a massage before, now is definitely the time to get one.

Swedish Massage
Massage is the oldest and simplest of the healing arts. A Swedish massage is much deeper than an aromatherapy massage. It is designed to relieve pain, ease tense or tight muscles, improve blood flow and lymphatic drainage, which detoxifies your whole body.
Baby Massage why not consider giving your baby a massage!!
In Oriental and Eastern cultures baby massage has been used for centuries as a routine part of childcare from birth. Although mentioned by early Greek and Roman physicians (e.g. Hypocrates and Galen) it has only comparatively recently been accepted in the West.
Touch is the baby’s most developed sense at birth and massage provides numerous benefits for both baby and parent. It gives parents greater confidence in handling their baby, promoting mutual trust and lessening parental anxiety. It is calming for both parent and baby and provides a time for affectionate expression and communication.
Massage encourages the development of strength with flexibility and muscular co-ordination therefore also promoting better posture and balance in later life. It provides tactile stimulation and relieves stress and traumas (including residues from birth). It stimulates the immune system and circulation. It aids digestion and elimination and relieves pain, i.e. colic. It soothes the baby and helps promote sleep (therefore also helping the parents sleep!). It improves the texture of the skin’s elasticity and resilience.
Above all baby massage should be a time of mutual relaxation, communication and pleasure. And remember... a relaxed baby eventually becomes a relaxed adult!
